Winstonia Nail Art Brushes Review
Hello! Today's post is a little different because I have a review of nail brushes from Winstonia!
If you're not completely familiar with Winstonia, they sell a lot of Nail Art supplies, as well as jewelry and makeup.
Super awesome right?
One of the most frequent questions I receive is "Where can I buy nail brushes?"
Today I will show you!
That's right today's review is on an 8 piece set of nail brushes found here.
As you can see, those are the brushes above. The first thing I have to say is that there's a good mix of brushes in this set. This is a perfect set for beginners because it includes every type of brush you might need. Not to mention a dotting tool too!
Another question I get is "How do you clean up around your cuticles?" The two white brushes (fourth and sixth from left) are perfect for this. I will definitely be using at least one of these for clean up.
I was also very impressed because it can be difficult to find brushes that are this thin. In most cases I end up cutting my brushes down but I might actually keep these the size they are.
Here's a picture next to a dime so you can see the size of them.
These brushes are perfect for details as well as lining.
Well, let's see how these brushes did with painting!
Ahh. I might be tooting my own horn but I'm in love with this design. I feel like I've seen something similar on another artist (although I cannot remember who) but this was actually inspired by a vase I have in my room (seen below)
I've been drawing a lot of inspiration from things in my room lately...
So anyway, back to the brushes!
For this design I used the middle length brush (refer to dime picture) and I had absolutely no issues with it. It painted very smoothly.
I made this quick tutorial(ish) video to show the brush in action.
Overall, I think this set is very good for beginners as well as experts. There were a few stray hairs on a few of the brushes but that wasn't an issue after taking some scissors to them. The quality of the brushes seemed to be pretty decent. The price of the brushes is $7.95, which equals to be about a dollar per brush. Not too bad!
Oh! Almost forgot to mention, the shipping was very quick as well! So if you're someone who worries about ordering from Born Pretty, this would be the perfect set for you.
Their full selection of brushes can be found here as well.
Until next time,
xoxo
