Many of you may be wondering why I chose to do a hand cream comparison post, but it must be remembered that hand and nail care are at least 50% of having a good blog, and hand creams are a must
Before I start I just wanted to announce that the giveaway winner Brady was chosen and was contacted, I didn't announce it publicly because I didn't feel the need to but I've had quite a few emails asking me about it, so there you go! Please dont feel disheartened as I'm sure that there are plenty more giveaways to come, and I hope you will all continue to enjoy my blog
Comparison No. 1: Drying/Absorbing Time (After 5 minutes)
- Avon (9/10) - takes just a few minutes, if that, to absorb into your skin, and doesn't leave a greasy residue
- Crabtree and Evelyn 9/10 - dries quickly, pretty much the same as the Avon one does
- Neutrogena 8/10 - pretty quick at drying
- Bliss 6/10 - takes quite a bit of time to dry (although not too long) but once it does it feels great
- Clinque 4/10 - struggles to dry, which is really annoying because I tend to want to get on with something after using hand cream, like a lecture or doing my nails, and with this it's difficult
Comparison No. 2: Greasiness (After 5 minutes)
- Avon 9/10 - nothing there except what can be expected
- Crabtree and Evelyn 9/10 - not greasy after 5 minutes
- Neutrogena 8/10 - still a bit of a residue after the same amount of time but not too greasy
- Bliss 6/10 - relatively greasy after 5 minutes
- Clinique 4/10 - still really greasy after 5 minutes
Comparison No. 3: Smell
- Neutrogena 10/10 no smell at all, just as it claims on the bottle
- Avon 9/10 has a pretty neutral smell, like very very weak nappies
- Clinique 8/10 - very faint citrusy smell
- Bliss - 7/10 - stronger smell but still not too bad
- Crabtree and Evelyn - 2/10 Absolutely stinks, if I was to describe it I would describe it as 'granny-like', it's very perfumed and flowery, and as I tend to do quite a lot after using handcream, I prefer a more neutral smell (like the others)
Comparison No. 4: Does it do what it says?/Overall Feeling
- Bliss ("High Intensity hand cream") - Yes, this leaves my hands feeling the best out of all the hand creams once it dries. Avon was by far my favourite hand cream before I tried this but I think this has definitely overtaken, my hands just feel so much better after
- Avon ("Rich Moisture Hand Cream") - Yep, I use this as my go-to hand cream in my uni bag when my hands are feeling dry. It's absorbant and non-greasy and doesn't really leave a smell
- Crabtree and Evelyn ("Moisturising hand and nail cream")- Yep, this really is a brilliant product, it's just the smell that is off-putting, but if that doesn't bother you then I'd definitely recommend it.
- Neutrogena ("Instant relief of dry, chapped hands, just a dab needed") - Yep, or so I've found it to. But my mum used it before me and found it to be quite drying, so I guess it depends on your skin type. I also found that I needed more than just a 'dab'
- Clinique ("Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle cream") - Yes and no, once it's dry my hands feel comforted, but whilst it's drying I feel pretty uncomfortable, but it is brilliant for my cuticles

So, exactly a month yesterday I posted
this review of some brand new Clinique nail varnish that I had been sent for review. I absolutely loved it, and I am absolutely honoured that I was sent some more for review. This time all 4 colours are from the limited edition summer colours, so if you like the look of them you better get on it fast! These polishes are specifically designed for sensitive skin, and to 'reduce the chances eyes will burn, itch or water upon contact', and I think you can definitely feel the quality within them. As always the rest of the review will be after the jump

| Look how cute the boxes are! |
First up is 'Juiced Up'*, which is a vibrant orange. My camera absolutely hates oranges but the colour of my logo in the first picture is pretty accurate to how it really is. This was 3 coats but I could have probably got away with 2. I didn't use topcoat in any of these pictures

Next up is 'Pinkini'* which is what can only be described as a barbie pink. This again was 3 coats with no top coat, but I could have probably used 2

Next up is 'Splish Splash'* which is a dark blue. The first coat was quite translucent and I thought this would take quite a bit of build up, but it ended up being opaque in 2 easy coats.

Finally is my absolute favourite, '70 Degrees and Sunny'*. I dont know why, because I'm usually not a fan of yellow polishes, but there is something absolutely amazing about this colour. I'm sure you'll be seeing it in a lot of nail art. I've already used it in my
sunset nails, and it was absolutely brilliant for the gradient. This was 2 creamy coats.

Overall, again, I'm really really impressed with these polishes, and I think they're definitely worth the £12 they cost. If I wasn't a very poor student then I would most likely buy a lot more of these colours. You can buy these on the
Clinique website, or at any local supplier of Clinique, such as Boots.

Hey everyone! No explanation tonight, just nails. I'm tired and I need to sleep, it seems to be a common occurrence than I post late at night and then dont have the energy to write much, so I'm sorry about that! These nails were inspired by the recent sunny weather we've been seeing in Britain, although I'm not quite sure we're up to palm tree standard yet!

Hey everyone! I'm a little late with this week's seven deadly sins post, I dont really have any excuse for that except that I forgot to edit the pictures last night and then it was too late, so sorry about that! This week's prompt was 'go wild and use your most expensive and precious polish'. I dont own many expensive polishes because I have a £3 maximum spend (the student life is super fun) but I did recently recieve these awesome Clinique polishes, as you saw
here, which retails for £12 (I also have another few Clinique polishes to show you soon!) and last winter when I saw China Glaze 'Glistening Snow' I had to splurge a massive £6 (!!!) to buy it straight away, so I thought I'd mix the two together, along with my always-expensive top coat: Seche Vite.

Hey everyone! Today I have some exciting new nail products to show you, by Clinique! A lot of you will be surprised to hear that this isn't their first try at nail polish, but it's looking to be the most successful. They will be releasing 12 permanent shades and 9 limited edition shades to start off with. I'm very excited about these new polishes and I would definitely recommend them. As always, all pictures will be after the jump
First up is 'Call My Buff'* which is to be part of the permanent collection, this is a very watery cream and it took me 4 coats to build up, which I would normally hate, but the overall effect after was so elegant that I couldn't help but love it and I will definitely be using this more!
I should have some nail art coming up in the next few days including this shade so keep an eye out!
Next up is 'Hula Skirt'* which is to be part of the limited range, and I would definitely recommend getting your hands on it if you can because this is such a wonderful formula, if greens are your colour then you certainly need this one! This was 2 (very) easy coats
Look how lovely it is! It's definitely a shade unique to my collection (although, dont we all say that?)
Next is 'Red Red Red'* which is just your run of the mill red except slightly darker, and ONE COAT. It's quite jelly-like but yep, this is a one coater. I love it!
Finally is 'Strappy Sandals'* which I was expecting to be like every other silver I own, but it isn't, because it SPARKLES. I love it, it's so glittery and I think you might be seeing it in some nail art soon, if I decide to post the design! This was 2 coats but you could probably get away with one.
Overall, I'm really really impressed with the quality of these polishes, you can certainly tell that there has been a lot of effort put into making these, which there has as they've been specially designed for sensitive skin. I absolutely love these and if you do too then you can pick them up for £12 at Clinique counters or
here on their website.
