(Another!) Anchor Tutorial

I posted this nail design a few days ago and let me just say, I was not expecting the response I got. It's my most liked photo on instagram (by far!) I was in complete shock honestly. I wasn't planning on making a tutorial because Summer is so close to being over and I figured no one would bother but I actually got some people asking for one so I decided to go for it.

The tutorial I made is slightly confusing so I'll try my best to explain.

Step One:

Paint a white base color. (This is for the anchor nail)

Step Two:

Use a black paint/polish to make a thick anchor. I also have a tutorial for an anchor here if needed.

Step Three:

This is where it gets slightly confusing. I figured it would be helpful to show the steps I took for the flowers I did inside the anchor.
Anyway take any color you like and paint the base of the flower like so. The petals are basically heart shapes.

Step Four:

Use a darker version of the color you used for the base of the flower and paint it on the inside of the petals. The more messy the lines, the better.

Step Five:

Use black paint/polish and paint the very inside of the petals.

Step Six:

I kind of combined two steps into one here. Use a green paint/polish for the leaves. Once that is dry, paint a black line through the leaves.

Step Seven:

Use a yellow paint/polish for the pollen (stuff?) Five dots will do.

Step Eight:

Paint this design inside the anchor. I promise it's not as difficult as it may seem. I used the same technique for the pink flowers as what I've shown you.

I hope I've covered everything. Oh yeah, optional step- top it off with matte top coat! That's what I used in my design but you definitely don't need to.

Super simple picture to sum it all up.

If you try this, let me know! I'd love to see!

Thank you for reading!
